Do you underestimate the power of these two simple words?

When hurts arise in any kind of relationship, these two simple words “I’m sorry” can really turn the tide of the dynamic and open the door to invite reconnection.

When we feel ignored or NOT heard we are less likely to want to make efforts to repair simply because we are HURTING! 🤕
However, when we feel seen & heard by the other, when we feel like they care or want to understand us now we naturally become more willing to listen, compromise and work together. 🤝
Hence, I believe these words could indeed be two of the most powerful things you can utter to someone you care about.
If you think ;
You’ve hurt them
or they’ve suddenly pulled back from the connection

Then ask yourself – could they be feeling hurt? If the answer is yes, the first step to repair is to try and put yourself in their shoes, have some compassion and then from that place offer a genuine comment like –
“I am so sorry.. I didn’t mean to upset or hurt you. Can we talk?”
Because honestly, at the end of the day it does NOT matter who is right or wrong in the eternal dance of love..

These two words – “I’m sorry” – simply act as an olive branch and a hand extended 🌿
From that vulnerable open place, the beginning of reconnection & repair can start to happen…
Take a moment to Self Reflect 🤔
How good are you at saying “I’m sorry”, eating humble pie or commencing a relationship repair???
