Anger can be a really powerful transmuter when we learn to welcome it instead of repressing it.

Truth be told, before I came to embodiment I had no idea how much anger I was really holding.

Because for so many years all I had ever been taught by my family/ parents was how to suppress it!!
Be quiet
Sit still
Be polite
Say thank you
Don’t make waves
Be grateful
In short, be the Good Girl.

Fast forward to today ⏩⏩⏩
This morning I was feeling some epic Fierce Anger 🔥 raging through me, triggered by someone from my past.
I was ranting and raving in my head while I drove my car, and suddenly I hit on a deep belief (more on that next week)..
The thing is, this belief totally shocked and unhinged me.
I immediately knew it was a core belief that was doing damage in my life.
So when I returned home, I created a space to fully Be With It.
I lit some Sage 🕯️
Invoked a Shamanic container
Put on some music 🎶
Then got on my yoga mat and went with my process
Feeling it fully
Breathing
Moving
Until the emotions loosened
Crying
Wailing
Grieving
After moving through several waves, the grief came and I was able to really feel the core of the betrayal that was still sitting in my body.
And I stayed with it…
Feeling the emotions, breathing and moving until in it’s own time it came to a natural end.

Right now I am still integrating this in myself, but I really felt it was important to share it with you because..
Anger is always a mask 👹 for some kind of HURT.
The hurts we don’t fully process get stuck in our bodies & block up our nervous system.
And they create closures within us. These closures start to form patterns of how we relate and what we don’t want to feel.
But, as the wise Daoist sages say
“What we touch fully, dissolves”
This means we don’t need to fear feeling it, instead we need to simply liberate it.
This is the idea of the kind of somatic embodiment I use and teach.
To fully be with the parts of us we’ve ignored, repressed and tried not to feel.
This is Embodiment based healing through self intimacy.
This is what I teach in my private sessions.
This is what I do in my private life.
And this is what the world is really needing in these desperately painful difficult times of existence.

 

So, next time you feel angry…

Please remember that somewhere underneath the fiery inferno, is a part of you that is emotionally wounded, sad or hurt 🥹
And I recommend that as soon as possible (ideally that very same day), you go and connect in fully with that part of you .
Your future self will thank you for it. And so will the world.. because having more liberated loving embodied humans on this earth is definitely appealing.
